Bosch Pellet Printer at ZIKO Technik – one of our two machines for additive manufacturing

Our Industrial Equipment

Two machines, two processes: pellet and filament printing at an industrial level.

For additive manufacturing, we rely on two complementary machines: the Bosch Pellet Printer for injection-molding and compound pellets – right up to highly filled compounds, extremely soft elastomers and high-performance plastics such as PPS-GF40 – and the InnovatiQ TiQ8 for unfilled, highly crystalline plastics such as POM and PVDF as well as high-temperature materials such as PEEK and PEI.

From Raw Material to Component

1

Raw Material

Pellets or technical filament, depending on the material and component requirements.

2

Melting

Precise heating in the extruder or hotend – up to 370 °C (pellets) or up to 440 °C (filament).

3

Extrusion

Controlled material deposition through the nozzle along the programmed path.

4

Layer by Layer

Building the component layer by layer – build heights of up to 450 mm are possible.

5

Finished Component

Post-processing as needed, inspection and delivery.

Bosch Pellet Printer

The industrial pellet printer from Bosch Industrial Additive Manufacturing processes standard injection-molding and compound pellets directly – without the detour through costly filament. This makes it especially economical for larger components and small-batch production. Its specialty is materials that can hardly be processed as filament: highly filled compounds, extremely soft elastomers and special compounds.

Processes extremely soft elastomers (e.g., TPE with Shore 00 hardness), glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (e.g., PA6-GF30), highly filled compounds (e.g., PARA-GF50 with 50% glass fiber or tungsten-filled PA-W), special compounds and high-performance plastics (e.g., PPS-GF40). You'll find the pellets we have qualified in our material database.

InnovatiQ TiQ8

The TiQ8's specialty is unfilled, highly crystalline plastics such as POM and PVDF. With up to 440 °C at the nozzle, it also processes high-temperature materials such as PEEK and PEI as well as carbon-fiber-reinforced filaments. A heated build chamber, vacuum build plate and an open material platform ensure dimensionally accurate, functional components.
